Runner's Yoga Book

Yoga Gifts

Yoga gifts:

These are tested yoga gifts. I reviewed only high quality durable items on this page.

In the beginning I was a bit skeptical about Runner's Yoga book. I was tempted to try it nonetheless (you will understand what I mean once you watch the video on the front page). My biggest worry about runners Yoga book was that it's not a video guide (we're all used to the yoga studio scenery).

But I still decided to try it because it was risk free and I really wanted to stop going to those time consuming Yoga classes.

My worries quickly disappeared after I saw the Yoga training material that was included with the purchase. It turned out to be better than video, because in case of a video recording you often need to pause it (yoga moves are not the easiest ones to mimic), analyze it, correct your-self and then keep going. In addition to that you get easily distracted by the scenery in those videos, which makes the whole Yoga workout longer and in turn more frustrating.

I enjoy the regular Yoga classes a lot, but it's a little bit annoying because they're time consuming and you can't always stop the teacher to inquire if you've assumed the right posture (not to mention you have to have the right yoga clothes). The runners yoga slides are rather straight to the point, like: "This posture is for better flexibility" and "this posture is best for stretching' etc. And you can do the yoga exercises from home (all you need is a yoga mat).

Another thing which I liked was that these Yoga exercises are not 3 hours long, he packed the maximum health value into a 30 minute long exercise regimen.

Call me naïve, but the video on the front page of Runner's yoga web-site is what sold me the most. The guy sounds very honest and relaxed (something I've been able to achieve through Yoga training as well) and he has some good credentials (I believe he was training the Canadian National Olympic team).

It's also refundable which is good. I usually steer clear of anything that's considered a "final purchase".

So all in all Runner's Yoga is a good buy (I've been a bit disappointed with some of the other guides which I tried in the past). Click here to find out more and watch the front page video.
